SHEET PILE SHORING
We can use sheet piles for temporary or permanent applications. They provide sturdy lateral support and reduce groundwater inflow. This is a good option for below grade structures, pump stations, seawalls, and cofferdams. They are also environmentally friendly, as they are made from recycled steel, and temporary piles can be reused.
H-PILE and LAG BOARD SHORING
This shoring method retains soil using vertical steel piles with horizontal lagging. We may use wood, steel or concrete for the lagging, which we install as the excavation progresses. Permanent H-pile and concrete shoring can be used in place of cantilevered retaining walls.
Shotcrete is a process of shooting concrete through a high-pressure hose onto the surface that needs shoring. We use shotcrete on many shoring projects, because of its flexibility and ease of use. It can form to any shape, and the end result is durable shoring with significant strength.
SOIL STABILAZATION and GROUND IMPROVEMENT
Anchored draping of slopes with filter fabric and mesh, secured with tie-back anchors, provides a cost effective alternative to more traditional shoring methods. Aggregate piers or rock columns can be installed to reinforce poor soils to reduce settlement and increase bearing capacity.

This is a fast, high quality and cost-effective method of providing deep foundations for support. Piles can be made to suit your specific project, based on soils, stress levels, and required bearing capacity.
PSC PRE-STRESSED CONCRETE PILE
These are made from high quality concrete, manufactured under controlled conditions. They are foundation elements of buildings, bridges and marine structures.
AUGER CAST PILE
Typically used in unstable soil with high ground water levels to provide structural support. The auger is drilled to depth or rock, then removed while pumping grout through the hollow stem. Rebar is installed when the auger is removed.This cast in place method creates a strong continuous pile, without defects.
MICRO PILE AND ROCK ANCHORS
Small diameter pile casing, less than 12", is drilled to depth, filled with reinforcing steel and high strength grout, usually to resist uplift, lateral and compression loads. These can be used in restricted overhead access areas, in close proximity to existing structures, and in shallow rock conditions.
Caissons are a high bearing capacity, deep foundation that provide structural support. They can be cased or uncased, depending on the stability of the ground during installation. Caissons can also be used in a secant wall to provide earth retention.
This is one of the oldest, most widely used deep foundation solutions. While steel and concrete are often required for code, or for other specifications, we still use timber pile when it's the best solution for a specific project.
